Blue Lantern Specialises in quality care and assistance in the comfort of the client/customers own home. We provide services that are structured around the client’s individual needs. We offer short term and long term care and support packages that are complimented by a completely free initial assessment by a qualified Registered Care Manager. At ‘Blue Lantern’, we cater for Service Users within the following categories:

Person Centred Care forms the core of the service we provide here at Blue Lantern and our staff are committed to meeting our aims and objectives:
To deliver a service of the highest quality that will improve and sustain the clients overall quality of life.

To ensure that the service is delivered flexibly, attentively and in a non-discriminatory fashion while respecting each clients right to independence, privacy, dignity, fulfilment, and the rights to make informed choices and take risks.

To ensure that each client’s needs and values are respected in matters of religion, culture, race or ethnic origin, sexuality and sexual orientation, political, affiliation, marital status, parenthood and disabilities or impairments.

To match the nominated care worker as closely as possible with the client, and respecting the need to change the care worker in the event of subsequent non-compatibility.

To manage to care service efficiently and effectively to make best use of resources and to maximize the value of money for the purchaser / Service User.
To involve service users and carers in the provisions, management and development of services which will be monitored regularly as part of the quality assurance framework ensuring that the service is run in the best interests of our service users.

Services offered by ‘Blue Lantern’

The range of services that our clients/service users can expect from ‘Blue Lantern’ include the following:

  • Personal Care Services

  • Live in service

  • Day sitting service

  • Night sitting service

  • Domestic care service

  • Putting to bed service

  • Getting up service

  • Pension collection service

  • Laundry service

If you do not require Live in Care we also provide less intensive packages of Domiciliary Care. You can choose to receive care from us from as little as one hour a day up to 12 hours a day. We can provide Domiciliary Care should you require assistance with personal care, dressing, preparation of meals, household tasks, cleaning and shopping etc

We have a flexible night care service if this is required, you can choose from one of the following:
Awake – For service users requiring attention during the night.
Sitting – For those who may need some assistance in the night.
Sleeping – For those who cannot be left alone during the night.
